History
In September 2011 TICKLISH ALLSORTS will celebrate 30 Years as professional entertainers!
In 2011 we continued to perform to happy family audiences.
RSPB WORK
Unfortunately, in July 2009 the wonderful 12 year relationship between Ticklish Allsorts and the Royal Society for Protection of Birds came to an end as the Roadshow Programme was cut due to the finacial climate. It had been an incredible partnership and Ticklish Allsorts have completed over 380 Roadshows during the years to every part of the UK. It was a most fullfilling expereince reaching an audience of many 1000's of young people and their families, teaching wildlife in a fun and exciting way. A great priviledge to have been involved.
A Busy Year in 2010
In 2010, Ticklish Allsorts had another spectacular busy year with festivals and events. We organised St George's Day Festival for Salisbury City, which took place on Sunday 25th April 2010. It was a great success, with medieval acts roaming the City Centre, and of course, brave St George fought the firesome dragon and won, saving the maiden at the same time. A wonderful day of celebrations and the whole City was alive with entertainers, stalls, music, dancing and jollity.
Carnival
Gary Nunn became Chairman of Wilton Community Carnival again and ran a week of events in early July. Carnival Day, Saturday 3rd July was a perfect day, in the middle of a heat wave. We had over 25 floats in the procession and the field full to bursting for the fun afternoon. Ticklish Allsorts provided entertainment on the day and Gary planned and attended all events. Many said it was the best carnival for years!
Festival Galore
During May, June, July and August, Ticklish Allsorts performed at several major festivals throughout the land. These included Rochester Sweeps and Dickens Festivals, Wimborne Folk Festival, Wilton Carnival, Romsey Beggars Fair, Netley Marsh Steam Fair, Wickham Festival, Chippenham River Festival, Towersey and Tenterden.
A Merry Christmas
Christmas Shows 2010 during December, we did 26 special shows including panto style shows at Gosport Tree Dressing, Schools, Pre Schools and corporate events. Gary also did a very successful season at Whitehall Garden Centre in Lacock, performing 20 puppet shows of "Kings Arthur and his Christmas Table."
