History

As from September 9th 2006 TICKLISH ALLSORTS celebrate 25 Years as professional entertainers! A SILVER JUBLIEE YEAR!

In 2006, Ticklish Allsorts had another spectacular busy year with festivals, events and RSPB Tours. We organised St George’s Day Festival for Salisbury City, which took place on Sunday 23rd April 2006. Although a dull day, it was a great success, with 15 medieval acts roaming the City Centre, and of course, brave St George fought the firesome dragon and won, saving the maiden at the same time. A wonderful day of celebrations and the whole City was alive with entertainers, stalls, music, dancing and jollity.

The next big project was 10 days in May, when Ticklish Allsorts were asked to devise and perform a special show for the Royal Society for Protection of Birds for the International "Save the Albatross Campaign". The VOLVO Round the World Yacht Race 2006, which was highlighting the plight and demise of the world’s albatross population, arrived at Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quay for the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend. Among the many events either side of the weekend, Ticklish Allsorts performed their world premier show "Goonies and Mollymauks" from 29th May—2nd June 2006.

And then…..Gary Nunn became Chairman of Wilton Community Carnival and ran a week of events in early July. Carnival Day, Saturday 8th July was a perfect day, in the middle of a heat wave. We had over 25 floats in the procession and the field full to bursting for the fun afternoon. Ticklish Allsorts provided entertainment on the day and Gary planned and attended all events. Many said it was the best carnival for years!
